This Suicide Awareness Program has been very successful, thanks to the support of our Flags For Forgotten Soldiers Team.
Patriotism and support of our Veterans is imbedded in the principles of the Knights of Columbus and this program is very important because we care, and we want to help “save lives”. Each one of us has the opportunity to be the one person who makes a difference, who can save a Veterans life or the life of anyone struggling with thoughts of suicide.
The Veterans Crisis Line number is 988
Thank you brothers
Brothers, before we end 2023 with a very successful Flags For Forgotten Soldiers Program, I want to say thank you to all my brothers in the Knights of Columbus who have actively participated in our installations and pick ups and to all brother Knights, friends, and family who have supported this program. Groups like ours are absolutely making a difference. With rates continually going down , it is because of you and our continued efforts who refuse to ignore the importance of letting Veterans and people know that there is a different choice to make. This project has received high visibility and I know we can do this again in the spring of 2024.
Remember that each one of us has the opportunity to make a difference in saving a Veteran or the life of anyone struggling with thoughts of suicide.
Best, John De Marco, PGK Veterans Chairman, Knights of Columbus

Dave Brown was a member of our Council and his wife Lynn is the sister of Howard Berry (deceased).
Howard’s son Josh Berry committed suicide in 2013. Josh is Lynn’s nephew.
Our Director, John DeMarco still communicates with them after each install.
Lynn’s son, Jeff , posts all my installs on
